Construction of a complete kitchen
The school EGB 239 in Pampa Chica, Chaco urgently needed a kitchen to feed the students whose main meal of the day was provided at the school. Food was cooked in a precarious brick oven inside of a room without doors, which made it impossible to keep a safe and hygenic enviroment, putting the children’s health at risk. In May 2004, Argentina-Chicago Foundation built a complete kitchen inside the school, big enough to prepare, cook and preserve the daily meals. Argentina-Chicago Foundation also built a bedroom for the teacher, who usually moves to these poor areas from far away cities and needs a place to sleep.
